BE THE CHANGE FUNDRAISER

The purpose of the “Be the Change“ Fundraiser, is to raise funds to support our local public servants, at-risk youth, and their family members. It is in line with Community Connects’ call to serve and care for others.

A reserved pool of money is set aside by a Community Connect, Inc. to provide temporary financial assistance when our target group is facing unexpected hardship. These funds are usually given to cover urgent living cost, and basic needs.

Donating is both a kind thing to do and a real way to show faith. It helps make Community Connect, Inc. a real central source of help and hope during hard times.

How are Benevolence Funds used? Benevolence funds are used to provide financial assistance to people or families who are temporarily having a hard time because of things like illness, losing a job, or unexpected costs. These funds are usually given temporarily to help cover basic needs like clothing, utilities, food, or medical assistance, according to the policies and procedures of Community Connect, Inc and at the Board Members discretion. The goal is to give timely help that eases immediate problems while protecting the privacy and dignity of those who receive it.

Our Benevolence funds project show Christian love in action by helping people in need while keeping their information private.  We want to respond with compassion, dignity, and business etiquette.

Who it helps: Officers, Firefighters, Veterans, Clergy, Dispatchers, Health Care Workers, Community Youth, and Their Family Members who are experiencing sudden crises.

Crisis consist of but not limited to:  job loss, natural disasters, unexpected medical emergencies, death in the family, and family celebration.

Disbursements: Are usually made after a review process to ensure that the aid goes to those who genuinely need supported by donations from community members or other benefactors, and specific guidelines are established to maintain proper oversight, transparency, and compliance with IRS regulations regarding charitable giving.

Why does It Matter: Because all lives matter. One love, One Family, and One Race!
