Community Connect, Inc. started out as a mentoring program in 2012 to reach for higher ground in ministry and provide services to others. We also mentor youth and support organizations that fight for the survival of our future youth. As a charitable organization, we continue to provide food, clothing, school supplies, scholarships, and resources to our at-risk youth and their families.

Seeing the lack of support and spiritual awareness to help the community servants that protect these at-risk youth and their families in Las Vegas, Community Connect, Inc. began an outreach ministry (Adopt-A-Cop Nevada) to bridge the gap of communication between law enforcement and the community. That ministry has now sparked three additional ministries. Adopt-A-Fire Fighter, Adopt-A-Veteran, and Adopt-A-Health Care Workers. All of the organizations support the physical and spiritual needs of the community that Community Connect operates in.

Chaplain Michael Thrower’s motivation, courage, persistence and love for the work he does in the community is rooted in relationship. He is committed to sharing the love from the guidance he receives from Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior. He does this by emphasizing prayer, spirituality, unity, humanity, grace and relationship, not religion.

Community Connect, Inc. continues to be a leader in the community for resources and spiritual support. Through recognition, financial support, fundraisers, community conferences, community events, and fallen hero resolutions.

It is no surprise that Chaplain Michael Thrower received the 2026 Spiritual Community Award at the 12th Annual African American Trailblazer ceremony. His dedication to the community and abroad has been witnessed and documented for all to be encouraged.
